Come on out to celebrate the successes of the past year, to hear the interesting and exciting plans for 2014 … be part of the Walkers’ Creek Neighbourhood Association as it considers changing its name to “Friends of Walkers Creek … WCNA”, becoming even more inclusive and welcoming to all St. Catharines citizens and friends. 

Come and hear Gavin Pally, City Arborist, describe the “Crisis in the Canopy” as the City attacks the Emerald Ash Borer and the new threat of the Long Horn Beetle, which threatens our many various Maple trees.  This ‘de-greening’ of our City is a challenge and one that each property owner needs to be aware of, to plan for remedial action and sadly observe how a small insect can denude our wonderful shady streets, Park groves and forest areas. 

Opportunities to make your ideas known, to share your thoughts on even more improvement in our Parks and become part of the action and solutions. 

Renewal of your annual $10 Membership will be possible at this meeting, so you get your 2014 membership card in time for the Rice Road Nursery Discount Plant sale, an exclusive for Members in good standing.
