Pasta Dinner Fundraiser by Club LaSalle

Our good friends at Club LaSalle are hosting a great fundraising event October 14. Details are included in the poster, below. This is an important fundraiser for the Club LaSalle – and a great event featuring music with Marty Allen. The Club is also selling 50/50 tickets for a draw with a $5,000 jackpot. Get into the Club prior to Sunday to buy yours. Or drop by 15 Grandview as I have some to sell on their behalf. Hope to see you at this fun neighbourhood event.

Town Hall Style Meeting – by Chris Bittle

October 10th, MP Chris Bittle will be hosting a Town Hall style meeting from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at the Port Weller Community Centre. Everyone is welcome to attend to voice their concerns and thoughts that they have about the St. Lawrence Seaway. Concerns and issues will be recorded and a package will be created and submitted to the Minister of Transportation for his review. This is an excellent time to voice concerns about the Seaway allowing storage of toxic dust in our neighbourhood, and to voice frustration about their lack of concern about the bridges all being up at the same time. Any other concerns are welcome.
