Mark your calendar … as “The Friends of Walker’s Creek” swings into top gear, now that suggestions of spring are more abundant …

Thursday, April 25, 7:00 PM... The WCNA Annual Meeting at the Grantham’s Lion’s Club on Niagara Street. a “Town Hall Meeting” with City Councillors Bill Phillips and Dawn Dodge and the AGM will make for an interesting, informative and pleasant evening … the more the merrier!!

Saturday April 27th … 9:00 AM … Pitch In Week clean-up of the Walker Creek Parks. Meet at Parnell Road and join a group sweeping clean the parks south and north!! Bags and gloves will be supplied.

Thursday May 2nd … 7:00 PM … Join the Grantham Cubs and parents helping to add mulch to the the trees in Walker’s Creek South, off Linwell Road. Bring your shovel, bucket,wheelbarrow and energy as we gather to protect the trees from the mowing machines and help retain moisture during the coming summer!!

Tuesday May 7th … Rice Road Nurseries Horticulture Day … with a valid 2013 WCNA or Horticulture Society Membership card, you can save 25% off the regular prices that day … makes the WCNA $10 Membership fee even more worthwhile, plus you still get the anuual income tax receipt for that membership fee.
